I'm watching the NY Yankees and the Boston Red Sox game, they just brought our riot police to line the inside field in case the crowd gets out of control. This was caused by a disputed call that occured in the game. In fear that after the game 1000's of angry people might descend on the umpires. Why has baseball come to this? I can't imagine the mentality that would riot over a baseball game? Why would this rise to the level of riot?

I was 5 months 13 days old when Kennedy and Nixon held there famous debate. I think Nixon scared me at that young age.

This Day in History: "October 9

1635 Rhode Island founder banished from Massachusetts
Religious dissident Roger Williams is banished from the Massachusetts Bay Colony by the General Court of Massachusetts. Williams had spoken out against the right of civil authorities to punish religious dissension and to confiscate Indian land.
After leaving Massachusetts, Williams, with the assistance of the Narragansett tribe, established a settlement at the junction of two rivers near Narragansett Bay, located in present-day Rhode Island. He declared the settlement open to all those seeking freedom of conscience and the removal of the church from civil matters, and many dissatisfied Puritans came. Taking the success of the venture as a sign from God, Williams named the community 'Providence.'
Among those who found a haven in the religious and political refuge of the Rhode Island Colony were Anne Hutchinson--like Williams, she had been exiled from Massachusetts for religious reasons--some of the first Jews to settle in North America, and the Quakers. In Providence, Roger Williams also founded the first Baptist church in America and edited the first dictionary of Native-American languages."

The guy who sales all the french fries to McDonalds is J.R. Simplot
in the 1920's he droped out of school to set up his own Pig farm. Rentless and Ambitious, he went onto become one of America's most prominent farmers and ranchers.
One saying he has: "Try Everything"
His Liscense plate reads: MR. SPUD
Read about his company!

I saw today where to keep the color of Tuna a dark red color they use CO 2 and inject it. All FDA approved. I had no idea my fish was
filled with exhaust fumes.

AT&T
How would you like a company that will see $7Billion of its consumer revenue disappear over the next 10yrs? Long Distance will be close to FREE. Yesterday they annouced big layoffs and huge realignment.
Voice over IP will be the paradigm shift of the decade.

Yahoo! KKD: "In July, the SEC began an informal inquiry into Krispy Kreme's lowered earnings guidance and the way the company buys back franchises. Officials at Krispy Kreme have defended their accounting methods and handling of franchise buybacks. Krispy Kreme said then that it is fully cooperating with the SEC. "
Inflating assets, pipe lines, broadband transmission rights, options on companies that
had no real assets--Enron, or DONUT franchises is wrong.
I remember reading that the Krispy Kreme donut franchise in Dallas sold for over $50million I think.
Now just consider, how many years and donuts you have to sell for payback?

Today I got to visit Costco, my favorite store in the whole wide world. Why? Great products, the lighting is spectacular, the customer service is excellent and every time I visit there's something new to see.
Did you know that all fish products have to be labeled with country of origin. Maybe all meats, but I noticed the fish.
Crab Legs: Guess where they came from: Russia
Tulapia: Ecuador
Mai Mai: Phillippians
Salmon: Farm raised in USA, with a coloring called Chili, why I thought it was natural color
Catfish: USA
The Russian Crab legs really surprised me.
