Scooby Doo was hot when I was growing up, guess what he's still a very HOT DOG! Ronda found this on eBay:

I’ve been looking on ebay for Scooby doo items for Hannah’s birthday. She wants a Scooby party. There are over 5000 items new & old. The old 70’s stuff going higher.

Financial Times reports today: China is now the biggest merchandise trader in Asia and the third largest in the world for both exports and imports, making it a key driver of world trade growth. Its insatiable appetite for fuel and other raw materials was one reason why high oil prices failed to depress the global economy last year, Mr Finger noted.

We had a very bad day in the poultry business at our house yesterday. Ronda bought Hannah some baby chicks for Easter. After they started getting a little older we moved them to a big planter box in the back yard. At night we turn on a light, cover with a plastic sheet for protection. Well yesterday morning we forgot to take the plastic off. At 3pm Ronda calls and says can you go check the chickens. I thought: they are probably all dead. Well all but one. And ironically the one out of 17 that survived, his name: Sunny!
So goes the Chicken business.

Scientists Create Remote-Controlled Flies

Yale University researchers say their study that used lasers to create remote-controlled fruit flies could lead to a better understanding of overeating and violence in humans.

Using the lasers to stimulate specific brain cells, researchers say they were able to make the flies jump, walk, flap their wings and fly.

Even headless flies took flight when researchers stimulated the correct neurons, according to the study, published in the April 7 issue of the journal Cell.

Scientists say the study could ultimately help identify the cells associated with psychiatric disorders, overeating and aggressiveness.

Biologists have long known that an electrical stimulus can trigger muscle response, but this approach used focused beams of light to stimulate neurons that would have been impossible to study using electrodes.

Gero Miesenbock, associate professor of cell biology at Yale, said if the process could be duplicated on mice, researchers might be able to better understand the cellular activity that leads to certain behavior.

"Ultimately, that could be important to understanding human psychiatric disorders," Miesenbock said. "That's really futuristic stuff."

I visited with a guy who works for one of the largest check printing operations in the country yesterday. They predict starting in 2010 a 10% errosion in Paper Checks. After that it will accelerate. I would say its going to be faster than than that. But guess who's fighting efforts to move to electronic debit cards? Banks, yes Banks make mucho mula from people who write NSF Checks. FREE checking says the billboard? A completely digital debit system would not allow anyone to take a NSF Check thus cutting mega bucks from banks who enjoy big profits.
Just think: a persons pain, not having money is another persons profit, getting to charge you for it!

Monday's are never normal, I come to work and a skunk is at the back of our warehouse--I have a shotgun in the back of my truck but thought---Skunk pieces all over is not a good idea--well a guy pulled up with a 22cal and he baged a skunk early this morning: Now you guessed, the whole place has a skunk smell. I'm sure we are voilating some environmental law! Back to Monday!
