Sponge Homer

Homer H. Hillis, Jr. sponges all kinds of information, business, political and trends. I've been seen on the Sally Jesse Rafeal show with noted trend spotter Faith Popcorn. My Blog will give you an over view of what I'm seeing and reflections on the same.

Today in 1836 a brown envelope came in the mail to Samuel Colt giving him a patent on his new rapid fire automatic pistol, in a few years his gun would win the west. Its also history that a Texas Ranger: captain Walker championed his cause to President Pope who decided to buy these for the military.
When Colt got his first order he didn't have a factory but had to outsourcing his manufacturing to different blacksmiths for the metal parts.

Felling good! I feel real good today. Last night I started cleaning out my closets. After about 2hrs I had a pickup truck load of cloths, most of them I haven't touched in 3-4 years. Then today I gave them to Healing Hands International to send overseas. Could this qualify for Lent? Giving up less clutter, less mess?
My goal: Only own what I will wear?
Give the rest away.

"The quality of your relationships will determine the outcome of events when there is a problem or issue with price, delivery, quality or service. I'm 'Not' saying that if you have a great relationship you can ignore important issues and skate by -- I AM saying that a great relationship will act as a buffer, and allow all problems and issues to be resolved harmoniously." -- Jeffrey Gitomer
