Homer H. Hillis, Jr. sponges all kinds of information, business, political and trends. I've been seen on the Sally Jesse Rafeal show with noted trend spotter Faith Popcorn. My Blog will give you an over view of what I'm seeing and reflections on the same.

"When you give someone a book, you don't give him just paper, ink, and glue. You give him the possibility of a whole new life."
Scooby Doo was hot when I was growing up, guess what he's still a very HOT DOG! Ronda found this on eBay:
"We lift ourselves by our thought. If you want to enlarge your life, you must first enlarge your thought of it and of yourself. Hold the ideal of yourself as you long to be, always everywhere."
Financial Times reports today: China is now the biggest merchandise trader in Asia and the third largest in the world for both exports and imports, making it a key driver of world trade growth. Its insatiable appetite for fuel and other raw materials was one reason why high oil prices failed to depress the global economy last year, Mr Finger noted.
"Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are the children of your soul; the blue prints of your ultimate achievements."
"Doubt, of whatever kind, can be ended by action alone."
We had a very bad day in the poultry business at our house yesterday. Ronda bought Hannah some baby chicks for Easter. After they started getting a little older we moved them to a big planter box in the back yard. At night we turn on a light, cover with a plastic sheet for protection. Well yesterday morning we forgot to take the plastic off. At 3pm Ronda calls and says can you go check the chickens. I thought: they are probably all dead. Well all but one. And ironically the one out of 17 that survived, his name: Sunny!

I visited with a guy who works for one of the largest check printing operations in the country yesterday. They predict starting in 2010 a 10% errosion in Paper Checks. After that it will accelerate. I would say its going to be faster than than that. But guess who's fighting efforts to move to electronic debit cards? Banks, yes Banks make mucho mula from people who write NSF Checks. FREE checking says the billboard? A completely digital debit system would not allow anyone to take a NSF Check thus cutting mega bucks from banks who enjoy big profits.
"All growth depends upon activity. There is no development physically or intellectually without effort, and effort means work."
I'm setting in my backyard with my Wi-Fi connected to the Internet. Where will we be in 10yrs? I leave in 2 weeks for China. My 3rd trip to China---a lot is changing, more products are coming from China and more to come. If you haven't noticed all the container rail cars.
Monday's are never normal, I come to work and a skunk is at the back of our warehouse--I have a shotgun in the back of my truck but thought---Skunk pieces all over is not a good idea--well a guy pulled up with a 22cal and he baged a skunk early this morning: Now you guessed, the whole place has a skunk smell. I'm sure we are voilating some environmental law! Back to Monday!
"Every man should view himself as equally balanced: half good and half evil. Likewise, he should see the entire world as half good and half evil...With a single good deed he will tip the scales for himself, and for the entire world, to the side of good."
